St. Armand early deeds Notary L. Chaboillez



The following is from the Missisquoi County Historical Report,
Volume 12, 1972 published by the Missisquoi County Historical
Society, Stanbridge East, Quebec, JOJ 2HO.

"Notary L. Chaboillez of Montreal came out to Phillipsburg at
the home of John Ruiter, where he drew up deeds, etc. for the early
settlers in the county. These deeds are in the Archives at the Court
House in Montreal, and copies may be obtained from them. This list is
for the Parishes of St. Armand East and West."
